-- I have turned into a monster --
Nowadays, players can upload their consciousness to a game's server to directly experience the its world.
One day, while I was playing the game like always, I encountered a mysterious bug that turned me into a monster.
I couldn't log out, I couldn't use the chat. I became nothing more than a lone being who wanders this world.
But... I now had the power to destroy the rules of this world.
I'm going to take revenge on the people who used to make fun of me.
I'm going to take revenge on all the females players...
...With the power of Karma!
Translator Notes (PLEASE READ!)Thanatos has basically become my baby - I've been working on it in my free time ever since the very beginning of January, and it has become my first big project after doing some faster MTLs that involved light modding. Going through my studies, having way more health issues than I would have liked, and translating this game has basically been half of my 2021. I know the TL may not be perfect, and the "translation connoisseurs" probably won't enjoy parts of it, but keep in mind I'm being completely honest when I say I gave this project my all. I went through conversations and events multiple times, rewriting parts that didn't sound too well-translated, and I played through the entire game thoroughly - twice - just to make sure I hadn't missed any important lines (since the only way to translate games without a script in hand is to find every small bit of text yourself). I then had to mess with the game itself in Wolf RPG Editor since translating with TL++ caused a whole bunch of bugs that couldn't be solved unless I went to fix scripts myself.
I can now say I'm happy with the finished product, and if I'm to release updates, it's going to be to port this to a more recent version of the game, or to fix some missed bugs/important lines of text I did not notice the first time. Everything, I believe, should be good enough in this release, and the game is fully playable and beatable from start to finish without getting any errors (unless you manage to find some bug I missed in my own "debug playthrough").
If you like this translation, and you end up enjoying the game, please go ahead and buy the original release to support Triangle, these games are really high quality. And, if you think my work is worth being paid for, or simply being shown appreciation, PLEASE consider donating to this link. I did this completely for free, and I decided, ultimately, to not make a Patreon for these projects of mine since I don't feel like tying anyone to "subscriptions". But donations seriously will help, and they would be an incredibly well-appreciated way to thank me. If you don't have any money to donate, a nice message or email (address in the game's readme.txt) will also make me smile! If you want to keep yourself updated with whatever projects I may follow through in the future, make sure to check out my blog! That's where I tend to post the more "technical" or specific updates for whatever I end up doing.
Known "bugs" or general tips- Do NOT open the Save Menu while holding SHIFT! It's very easy to do so while you're running (holding the SHIFT Key), quickly opening the menu and going to the Save Screen. Why? It's because the game actually loads the LOAD screen if you open the Save one while holding SHIFT! That's no bug, it's an intended feature, but it may kill lots of progress to load your recent save when you instead wanted to save your progress.
- Don't skip too much with CTRL, especially during H Scenes! The game may crash randomly if you do, I found out about this while doing quick debug sessions.
- An actual bug: in the City, during the first Route, you'll get the option to enter houses to steal valuables. By standing in front of the door, you get to pick whether to "Break In" or "Leave". The "Leave" option does NOT work, once you step in front of the door you HAVE to go in: that's because your character won't step away, and still being in front of the door, the option will open up again.
Regarding the "NTR" tag (no spoilers)I put the tag in the list to make sure I literally listed everything, but the NTR content in this game is, first of all, not the main focus. It's also completely optional, and you need to actively seek out for it. AND, it's basically non-canon, since even you do happen to view the NTR scenes, they won't reflect any change in the story. If you despise NTR with every fibre of your being, go ahead and play the game without worrying about it, since here it only serves as "bonus content" and nothing more.
