Cheats work from the console, which is off by default.
To activate it, in the folder \renpy\common\ you need to open in a text editor file 00console.rpy
Change the line:
config.console = False
to
config.console = True
In the game console is called by pressing Shift + O.

attack increase - crab1_att = 100

the effect of the cheat disappears after combat, i.e. in each battle you will need to re-enter the cheat
